Hi, I'm Noémie!

My journey began in the fashion industry at a very young age watching my
mom design and tailor garments for children. I further developed my interest and passion for sewing and apparel design during high school while attending weekly sewing classes. (Thanks to my mom for sending me to Johanne's house every week!).

Driven by my interest, I went on to college to study Fashion Marketing. Following graduation, I pursued my education by completing an Industrial Fashion program at the University earning a bachelor’s degree.

So yes, I've been part of this world for a long time, and I still can't get enough
of it!

A few years ago, while I was studying, I started a small business called Jeux d'enfants. specializing in the design, production and marketing of children’s accessories. My experience with Jeux d'enfants was quite rewarding and mostly fun as it allowed me to reach out and meet young and expecting parents while attending craft markets.

Jeux d'enfants was sold online and in boutiques around Montréal. I eventually decided to end my adventure so I could focus on my continued professional development.

When my daughter was born, I wanted to create sewing patterns that were both simple and practical—projects I could use every day or lovingly sew as handmade gifts for the families around me welcoming a new baby.

Mimi Sewing Company was born from my desire to share my favorite sewing patterns, thoughtfully designed for expecting parents and growing families. These projects are inspired by my everyday life as a sewing mom—tested, sewn, loved, and truly useful.
